We've been living in Fort Rucker for a couple of weeks now and have had a great time so far. Everyone has been very nice. We are living in a home on post and have been doing a lot of unpacking and fixing up the place.
We somewhat felt like we were living in a state hospital when we first moved in (white walls!) so we decided to paint. It looks a lot better and we had a lot of fun!

The bugs and animals have also been very warm and made themselves welcome to our home! I wish I would have taken some good pictures of the milipede infestation we had. I was too grossed out to pull out the camera I suppose. They took over our backyard and at one point covered the hole wall so that it looked black. Everywhere we went they were following us around like little pets! Ugh. We still find about 10-15 a day crawling around on our floor, but the numbers decrease everyday. Our neighbors seem to have the same problem, except their young baby will pick them up and eat them! We have stocked up with Raid and had pest control come and spray around our house.
